THE VISION FOR A GROWING GWINNETT
Gwinnett is blooming, but that growth has to reach every corner of our community. We are a district of innovators and working families who define
"GCo"—that unique spirit of resilience that pushes us forward.
I’ve lived in the gaps of the system. I know what it’s like to navigate life without healthcare. I know the anxiety of rising housing costs of our homes, and the taxes that come with that.
We can’t go back, and we must fight for the dignity of future generations.
After growing up in basement apartments and townhomes and not being able to grow our footprint for nearly two decades, the accomplishment I’m most proud of is helping secure my family as a son. I’ve retired my father and helped buy my parents a home in the county we love.
Now, I’m running for State Senate to make sure that kind of security isn’t an exception. We need it to be the standard for every family in Gwinnett.
Immigration: Safety and Dignity for Our Neighbors
Affordability & Quality of Life: Keeping Gwinnett Accessible
We are facing an affordability crisis that threatens the very fabric of our community.
As housing costs rise and private equity firms change the landscape of our neighborhoods, we must act to keep Gwinnett accessible for the people who work and live here.
I will support sensible housing policies and transit solutions that connect our residents to jobs and opportunity without pricing them out of their homes.
Gwinnett’s diversity is our greatest strength. From Buford Highway to Pleasant Hill, our immigrant communities are the heartbeat of our economy. I will work to ensure that Gwinnett remains a place of safety and dignity, standing against policies that target our neighbors and ensuring our local government focuses on service, not fear.
With families and Americans under attack by Washington, we’ll fight together to protect Gwinnett from the severe encroachment of civil rights by the federal government.
Healthcare & Mental Health: Prioritizing People Over Profits
Growing up, I saw how a lack of healthcare coverage can weigh down a family’s dreams. I grew up without healthcare at points in my life because the state’s leadership refused to expand Medicaid dollars under Obamacare—all for political reasons. I’ve lived in the system’s failures, and that’s why I’m stepping up.
After losing my cousin brother to suicide, I made it my mission to ensure mental health care is never an afterthought. That tragedy broke my family, and I vow to expand mental health care access so that every Georgian can get the care they need and deserve.
While Georgia has made progress, there are key pitfalls in mental health parity; frivolous claim denials, restrictive prior authorizations, and not enough in-network providers.
In the Senate, I will advocate for Medicaid expansion and true mental health parity, ensuring that every Gwinnett family has access to the care they need to live healthy, productive lives with dignity.
First Line of Defense: Standing Up to MAGA
With the return of the Trump administration and the chaos of MAGA extremism, Georgia must look out for its own. Our state government is the final barrier between our families and federal overreach. I am running to be a firewall in the State Senate—to protect Gwinnett from an agenda that seeks to dismantle our rights, target our neighbors, and undermine our democracy.
Fiscal Responsibility: Standing Up for Working Families
Taxes are too damn high, and as someone who supports my family and pays these taxes, I know exactly how that feels. Our state government has the budget it needs to support working families, but for too long, more of those resources have gone to corporations than to our people.
The budget is there, but the bold leadership is absent. I will fight to change our priorities, ensuring our tax dollars are invested back into the hardworking families who actually fuel Gwinnett's economy.
Education: Protecting and Expanding Excellence
I am a proud product of Gwinnett County Public Schools, and I know we have some of the best institutions in the nation.
As the manager of the $1.4 billion E-SPLOST renewal, I’ve proven I can deliver the resources our schools need. My goal is to protect Gwinnett’s high standards while ensuring that every student in our district—no matter their background—has access to the same world-class opportunities I had.
Reproductive Freedom: Protecting Personal Liberty
Reproductive rights are under a state of emergency. As Washington threatens to nationalize restrictions on bodily autonomy, Georgia must lead. I will fight to codify reproductive freedom into our state law, ensuring that healthcare decisions stay between a patient and their doctor—not politicians.
We must protect access to IVF, contraception, and safe, legal abortion. Our state must be a sanctuary for reproductive rights in the South.
